What type of picture frames and framing supplies do you offer?
We carry a full array of wood & metal moulding, matboard, hardware, and supplies to meet the needs of the custom framer.
How is a custom size picture frame ordered?
Frames are usually ordered to the picture size or glass size which is the measurement to the outside edge of the picture. When no specific instructions are given, we add a 1/16 to your measurement. This gives the correct amount of distance between the glass and the frame.
Can I order my picture frames assembled?
A joined or assembled frame can be ordered for those without the equipment or time to assemble frames.
What does the term chop mean?
A chop or unassembled frame is 4 mitered rails of moulding cut to your specifications. This is the most popular way to buy frames.
Can I order picture frame moulding and cut it to size?
Moulding can also be purchased in length or sticks. It comes in random sizes from 6' to 12'. When ordering it, it is important to order more than the frame requires to compensate for waste from miters and minor defects.
What is the size of a sheet of matboard?
Matboard and mounting board come in standard sized sheets that are 32 x 40. We offer a full line of both Crescent and Bainbridge matboard, mounting boards, and foam core.
Can I order my mats cut?
A mat cutting service is available for those who do not want to purchase a mat cutter or deal with the inventory problems of buying full sheets. We offer a wide selection of colors and textures that can be custom cut to your specifications.
Can I order special shaped mats?
We can cut ovals, multi-openings, v-grooves, multi-layered, and many more types.
How do I know what the moulding looks like?
It is recommended that you order from corner samples. A popular option is our starter set, which features 225 of our top selling mouldings at a cost of $150. If you prefer, you can choose individual samples in any quantity at $1.00 each. A salesman's case containing the complete Holliday line is available for inspection.
How do I get matboard samples?
Matboard samples are prepackaged by the manufacturer and separated by type of board. Holliday offers a complete line of Crescent and Bainbridge matboard.
How long does it take to ship my order?
Most orders are shipped within 24 hours. Some larger orders may require 48 hours.
